In recent years, a huge focus has been put on working with indigenous organizations and projects to take control and redefine the stereotypical narrative that often depicts native peoples in Canada.

Since 2012 Patrick has been designed over a hundred specialty event posters for the RIO Theatre in East Vancouver, BC.

The KANATA festival was an indigenous peoples in Canada food, music, and culture event that took place in Vancouver, BC from June 19 – July 1, 2017.
Patrick was brought on early to develop the festival branding and create every graphic element of the festival from the website, to posters, banners, and signage.
RIO GRIND FILM FESTIVAL

The RIO Grind Film Festival is an event and competition put on by the RIO Theatre to showcase the most exhilarating new genre films from across the world.
Patrick developed an entire brand for the multiple years of the vestigial including a logo, festival graphics, and posters.

The X̱aayda Hub was a shared co-working space and social enterprise based out of Skidegate, BC. Patrick created an entire brand including logo, banners, and website.
Branding and Poster Design
Giving Voice was a music event put on by The Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art in Vancouver, BC. They brought Patrick on board to develop a visual identity and marketing campaign to promote the event.
HAIDA GWAII HIGHER EDUCATION SOCIETY
Website, Signage, and Branding
The Haida Gwaii Higher Education Society is a non-profit post secondary organization that delivers outdoor experiential programs for students from across the world. Patrick was approached to do a full branding re-design which included development of a new logo that is inspired by typical university identities, but with a uniquely Haida Gwaii feel.
Benjamin Ayres is a Toronto-based actor most well known for his starring roles in Saving Hope and Jpod. Patrick has worked with Ben for years and most recently developed a new actor website to promote his work.
FIRST NATIONS TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL
Program Graphic Design
The First Nations Technology Council is an indigenous organization that promotes and supports indigenous peoples in having a more prominent role in the BC technology industry. Patrick was brought on to develop a visual identity for their latest “Bridging to Technology” education programming.
Logo, Clothing, and Website
Miss Quincy and the Showdown is a down and dirty rock n’ roll group from BC. They have an old-timey aesthetic with modern sensibilities, so with that in mind Patrick developed a clean word mark and colour scheme that is used throughout their branding.
HAIDA HERITAGE CENTRE
The Haida Heritage Centre is located in Skidegate, BC, and Patrick was contracted by them to develop a new website that will help the centre better communicate their facilities to the public.
Andrew Barber is a Vancouver-based actor and comedian. In 2017 Patrick revamped Andrew’s website to better promote his work.
HAIDA FISHING CHARTERS
Website Design & Logo Refinement
Haida Fishing Charters is a fishing tourism company based Out of Haida Gwaii. Patrick was commissioned by them to develop a website and revise their original logo, which was four salmon eggs together. The new logo is vastly simplified with a bold wordmark.
